KATE DONALDSON
Student Therapist
I am a Master’s-level Mental Health Counseling Student Intern with a passion for supporting children, teens, and young adults through life’s challenges. I’ve always found fulfillment in working with young people, especially in guiding them through the complex transitions of adolescence and beyond. With a deep commitment to supporting both individuals and families, I aim to empower young people to develop healthy coping mechanisms and emotional resilience, so they feel capable of facing whatever challenges come their way.
I work with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and major life transitions. Every session is tailored to meet each client's unique needs, developmental stage, and goals. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness based interventions, self-compassion, and a focus on the mind-body connection. I believe that by building emotional awareness and understanding the link between our thoughts, feelings, and physical responses, clients can develop stronger coping tools, foster inner strength, and navigate difficult emotions with confidence.
I work under the supervision of Melody Granzow, LCSW to ensure high-quality care in every session.
