KATE DONALDSON
Therapist
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and their families through life’s challenges. I believe meaningful growth begins when people feel safe, understood, and supported, and I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
I work with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, grief, life transitions, emotional regulation, self-esteem concerns, and social challenges. I recognize that every individual is unique, and I tailor each session to meet clients where they are developmentally while honoring their personal strengths, needs, and goals. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion.
I believe lasting change begins with understanding the whole person, not just the challenges they are facing. I value building trusting relationships with clients and collaborating closely with families to help young people develop resilience, healthy coping skills, emotional awareness, and confidence as they navigate each stage of life. My goal is to empower clients to feel capable of facing life’s challenges while recognizing and building upon the strengths they already possess.
I work under the supervision of Shaunese Lee, LMHC, to ensure high-quality care in every session.
